CAIRO: A Kuwait-based industry body has signed an agreement with its counterpart in Egypt as part of efforts to bolster scientific research and give impetus to joint projects. As per the deal agreed between the Kuwait-headquartered Arab Planning Institute and the Federation of Egyptian Industries, the respective workforces of both bodies will be given opportunities to hone their skills with the desired goal of "more efficient" output, according to a memorandum of understanding.
The deal will also allow both sides to hold joint workshops and seminars as viable platforms for the exchange of knowhow, with particular focus given to common development plans, the Arab Planning Institute said in a statement yesterday. The agreement was co-inked by the institute's Director General Badr Malallah and Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Industries Mohammad Al-Swaidi at the federation's headquarters in Cairo, Egypt. - KUNA
