KUWAIT: Kuwait crude oil dropped by 42 cents to $83.39pb Wednesday vis-a-vis $83.81pb Tuesday, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) said in a statement on Thursday. In international markets, Brent crude forwards fell by $1.02 to settle at $83.26pb and those of the West Texas Intermediate crude moved down by 52 cents, settling at $78.96pb.

Meanwhile, the US dollar on Thursday remained firm against the Kuwaiti dinar trading at KD 0.306 and the euro steadied too settling at the level of KD 0.325, compared with Wednesday's prices, the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) said in its daily bulletin.

The pound sterling rate remained unchanged settling at level of KD 0.368, the Swiss franc edged up by 0.29 percent settling at KD 0.330. As to the Japanese yen, it remained stable at KD 0.002.The CBK publishes daily average exchange rates that do not necessarily reflect actual prices of currencies for the day. - KUNA
