KUWAIT: His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received Tuesday at Bayan Palace Honorary Chairperson of Kuwaiti Disabled Sports Club Sheikha Sheikha Abdullah Al-Khalifa Al-Sabah, chairman of Kuwaiti Tomooh Sports Club Jassem Mohammad Al-Nouri, and the club's founder and head of Kuwait National Special Olympics Rihab Buresli as well as its members. His Highness the Crown Prince also welcomed female and male athletes who won a number of gold, silver and bronze medals at the Special Olympics World Games hosted by Germany.

His Highness the Crown Prince congratulated the athletes who managed to bring a number of medals to their homeland during the games in Germany. In addition, His Highness the Crown Prince thanked all officials who took part in preparing the athletes to represent Kuwait in this international sports event and gain advanced positions.

His Highness the Crown Prince said, "our sons and daughters are our real wealth and investing in them is our goal." His Highness the Crown Prince directed all concerned bodies of the State to pay attention to the distinguished nationals mainly those special needs, wishing further success and progress to the dear homeland under the wide leadership of His Highness the Amir. Meanwhile, Sheikha Sheikha said Kuwait has paid attention to human beings before caring for buildings and streets, referring to achievements made by the athletes over times for the country's interest. For her part, Buresli said these accomplishments have been made amid tough conditions, calling for inserting this segment in the country's development plans and activities.
