KUWAIT: The 7th edition of the Italian Cuisine Week in the World opened at the Residence of the Ambassador of Italy to Kuwait Carlo Baldocci. Conviviality, sustainability, and innovation are the ingredients of Italian cuisine for people’s health and safeguarding the planet and are the three characteristics stressed in this year’s edition.
Chef Emanuele of “Olio Trattoria Italiana” at Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa was the mastermind behind the organization of the week’s opening, which will be celebrated in several main hotels’ restaurants in Kuwait.
Ambassador Baldocci during his speech underlined that Italian food and beverage exports to Kuwait from Jan 2022 increased 45 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, with sales expansion of 60 percent, according to three main retail chains in Kuwait.
He also underlined that there is comfortable room for further increases and that in March next year, an impressive food and food security Italian business mission and forum will take place in Kuwait. Events related to the Italian Cuisine Week in the World will accompany the duration of the Italian culinary experience all over the month of November.
