KUWAIT: Chairman of Kuwait Bowling Club Sheikh Talal Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah said there are plans to organize several local refresher tournaments to compensate for the lack of training camps - both locally and internationally. He added that this is due to the current situation resulting from the corona pandemic. He said the plans are within the views of the teams' technical department in order to spread competitiveness among players so as to enable them maintain their physical and technical level as they get ready for upcoming tournaments when the corona crises are over.
Meanwhile, 40 players participated in the Bowling tournament that was held under the patronage of club chairman as an alternative for training camps. The tournament included four competitions in addition to the major one. Saleh Khalid Habib won the first place of the major competition - followed by Salem Al-Hajras and Mustafa Al-Mousawi.
In the "medium oiling" competition, Mohammad Habeeb came first; Abdallah Al-Deeban (second) and Faisal Al-Salem (third). In the "short oiling" event, Saleh Habeeb took the first position - followed by Aseel Al-Roumi (second) and Abdallah Al-Deeban (third). In the "long oiling" event, Hassan Qasim came first while Salem Al-Hajras took second as Aseel Al-Roumi came third. Sheikh Talal Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah - accompanied by Bowling Club Secretary General Mohammad Al-Farsi awarded the winners their cups and prizes.
