Bank upholds its commitment to the value of inclusivity for Kuwaiti talents

KUWAIT: In its latest effort to support people with disabilities in Kuwait, Burgan Bank participated in the graduation ceremony for the fifth batch of talented participants in the “Partners to Hire” program. The ceremony was organized and hosted by the Public Authority for Disability Affairs, with the support of leading Kuwaiti institutions across all industries and led by the banking sector.

Held under the auspices and presence of the Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, and the Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Dr Amthal Al-Huwailah, the ceremony celebrated a group of outstanding graduates who completed the tailored training program that equips professional talents with disabilities to join Kuwait’s workforce as customer service agents. Burgan Bank’s renewed participation in the event along with the employment of several graduates is a testament to its commitment to inclusivity, social responsibility, and social sustainability in its community.

“The health of any ecosystem can be measured by its diversity and inclusivity, and at Burgan Bank, we take a similar approach to evaluating the health and sustainability of our workforce,” said Ghalia Al-Saleh, Senior Manager – Talent Acquisition at Burgan Bank. “We are both honored and delighted to welcome new, exceptionally talented calibers to our Burgan family who have shown remarkable resilience in the face of challenges. We firmly believe that our varying capacities and skills are at the heart of our integrated success. That’s why we continue searching for the unique value everyone holds in tailoring a holistic employment and growth plan that suits their capabilities and brings out their best.”

Al-Saleh added that paving a smooth path for integrating national talents with disabilities in the workforce is central to the social cohesion and collective welfare that Burgan Bank continues to contribute to achieving under the umbrella of its comprehensive social responsibility program. In addition to its previous support of the “Partners to Hire” graduation ceremonies and employment events, Burgan Bank has also partnered with the Public Authority for Disability Affairs and the Kuwait Society for the Handicapped as part of efforts to provide Al-Ahmadi Educational Center with essential equipment and supplies that guarantee an elevated quality of life for many among this segment of the community in Kuwait.

It serves to note that Burgan Bank’s efforts to ensure the integration and empowerment of all national talents with disabilities span all fronts, beginning with employment and healthcare and extending to areas such as sports. Among the icons of national pride whom the Bank continues to support well into his journey of athletic achievement and success is Tareq Al-Qallaf, a celebrated wheelchair fencing world champion, in addition to others who are recipients of Burgan’s direct and indirect support as they unveil their full potential and unique passion.
