KUWAIT: Director General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Dr Fatma Al-Salem received on Wednesday Ambassador of the friendly Republic of Djibouti to the State of Kuwait, Abdoulkader Houssein Omar. They discussed means of boosting bilateral relations and establishing cooperation in diverse fields namely the media.
Dr Al-Salem affirmed, during her reception of the ambassador in her office, necessity of maintaining the mutual cooperation and reciprocal meetings for cementing the bilateral ties in various sectors, with emphasis on coordination in the media realm for promoting personnel's potential.
Moreover, the KUNA director general indicated at the news agency's readiness to join hands with Djibouti at diverse levels. The envoy congratulated Dr Al-Salem on her recent assumption of the top post, wishing the news agency further progress, hailing its accuracy and credibility in news coverage. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Director General for the Editorial Department, Issam Al-Ghanem, Director of Marketing and Public Relations Issam Al-Ruwaieh and Chairperson of the International Relations Nora Al-Nafisi.
Meanwhile, Dr Fatma Al-Salem explored on Wednesday with the General Manager of The Training Gate Kefaya Al-Alban ways to boost media cooperation. In a statement upon receiving Al-Alban at KUNA's headquarters, Al-Salem stressed the importance of expanding media cooperation and participation with several institutions. She also expressed KUNA's readiness to provide all their training capabilities that serve to develop the skills of individuals with disabilities.
For her part, Al-Alban reviewed The Training Gate role regarding the affairs of people with disabilities in Kuwait, aiming to improve their lives and integrate them into society. Al-Alban thanked KUNA for their media support, expressing her keenness to contribute to development programs that go beyond media. - KUNA
