Amman: Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) underlined on Monday Kuwait's humanitarian role to support those affected by natural or man-made disasters.

Director of the Public Relations and Media Department at KRCS Khaled Al-Zaid made the remark to KUNA on the sidelines of the Global Communications Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent.

He added that the three-day conference, which kick-started in Amman earlier today, aims to emphasize the future of media as well as qualify young people to face challenges, take responsibility and develop media.

He considered the conference, organized by the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent, the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Jordanian Red Crescent, to be one of the most important platforms for global dialogue on media issues.
