KUWAIT: Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) Chairman Dr Hilal Al-Sayer awarded Ali Abdulwahab Al-Mutawa Commercial Company (AAW) Chairman and CEO Faisal Ali Al-Mutawa with a trophy of recognition for his leading role in supporting the local community, especially during the spread of COVID-19 pandemic in Kuwait.
Dr Sayer visited AAW's headquarters recently to award Faisal Al-Mutawa with a trophy in appreciation for his continuous support to the local community in Kuwait. Mutawa made several generous contributions to support KRCS' fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was attended by KRCS General Secretary Maha Al-Barjas, KRCS Deputy Chairman Anwar Al-Hasawi, AAW First Deputy CEO Khaled Al-Mutawa, and AAW Deputy CEO Ali Al-Mutawa.
Chairman and CEO of AAW, Faisal Ali Al-Mutawa thanked KRCS for the integral role it plays in activities and projects both inside and outside Kuwait and said: "We, at AAW, will continue our unwavering support to our local initiatives and charity organizations that are at the frontlines during this difficult time of the pandemic. We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to KRCS for this initiative that brings together institutions and individuals to support our local community during this precarious period in history."
Since the beginning of the crisis and as part of AAW's on-going commitment to corporate social responsibility, the company has waived all commercial tenant rent due for two months, supported residential tenants who were terminated or did not receive their salaries, and donated $1.2 million worth of medicine to support Kuwait's health-focused charities.
