KUWAIT: Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) discussed with the Union of Automobile Agents in the country the mechanisms to boost cooperation on electric car projects, as well as suggestions and recommendations guaranteeing the suitability of such vehicles in extremely hot climates. In a press release on Tuesday, KISR mentioned that the meeting handled the outcome of the first project conducted by the institute and supported by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS).

Project Manager Dr Hedab Al-Hamawi stated that the two parties considered new projects comparing the performance of four-wheel-drive electric vehicles using charging ports powered exclusively by solar energy. The use of solar power, explained Dr Al-Hamawi, is to promote the use of renewable energy and preserve the environment. —KUNA
