Al-Marzouq heads KFH’s delegation in official business visit of DEiK
KUWAIT: Kuwait Finance House (KFH) received the Turkey-Kuwait Business Council under Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEiK) delegation, in an official business visit hosted at Sheraton Kuwait to discuss the current and potential business opportunities between Turkey and Kuwait.
KFH delegation was headed by KFH Chairman, Hamad Al-Marzouq and included Group CEO, Mazin Al-Nahedh and the upper management.
Al-Marzouq welcomed the distinguished guests, praising the economic relations between Kuwait and Turkey, which witnessed remarkable progress in the past years. Meanwhile, the DEiK delegation was comprised of 25 business people operating in various sectors such as construction, defense, finance and real estate. The delegation was headed by Ozdemir who is the Chairperson of DEiK Turkish Kuwait Business Council, in presence of Ayse Hilal Sayan Koytak Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Kuwait. Turkish Embassy in Kuwait supports the Turkey-Kuwait Business Council in every field.
Ambassador of Turkey to Kuwait Ayse Koytak praised the role of KFH in fostering the economic ties between Kuwait and Turkey, indicating "Kuveyt Turk Bank, working in Islamic banking, is also one of the newest members of DEiK Business Council. KFH, the largest shareholder of Kuveyt Turk, has also supported the Business Council in every activity done so far,” she added.
Ambassador continued "I was highly honored by the presence of the top management team of KFH during this networking lunch and by the support they showed to the Business Council. We are aware of the importance of Kuveyt Turk Bank for the economy of Turkey. It is the largest bank, working in Islamic banking in Turkey with around 40 percent market share, 400 branches and 5,800 employees. This is a great success story belongs not only to KFH but also to Turkey and Kuwait.” She added "I would like to extend my thanks once again to Hamad Al-Marzouq, Chairman of KFH, Mazin Al-Nahedh, Group CEO and the rest of the top management of KFH for their hospitality during the networking lunch and for their support to Turkey-Kuwait Business Council.”
DEiK’s Turkey-Kuwait Business Council, established in 2006, aims to improve bilateral business and trade relations between Turkey and Kuwait. The Business Council operates under DEiK, Turkey’s Foreign Economic Relations Board working in close coordination with the Turkish Ministry of Trade.
