KUWAIT: Kuwait Fire Force conducted Thursday Shamel 8 drill in Arifjan area, with the participation of 33 bodies, and in attendance of Deputy Prime Minster, Interior Minister and Acting Defense Minister Sheikh Talal Khaled Al-Sabah, a number of other ministers and National Assembly MPs and governors.
KFF chief, Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Mekrad, affirmed in speech that the state has provided sufficient trained manpower, and highly developed equipment and machines, to deal with any natural or manmade incidents and catastrophes.
Al-Mekrad added that Shamel 8 titled, Crisis Management Under Joint Coordinated Leadership, aims to integrate cooperation between concerned bodies enabling swift management of crises and accidents. He noted the importance of expertise exchange between military, civil and oil authorities so that it becomes a reference point for these authorities in managing crises.
KFF chief expressed gratitude and appreciation for His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah for sponsoring this drill, wishing the state of Kuwait further safety and security under its political leadership. Al-Mekrad commended the efforts of the participating authorities to bolster the exchange of knowledge, getting acquainted with the abilities of each body, and developing rapid response and proactive measures. - KUNA
