KUWAIT: KAMCO Investment Company, a leading investment company with one of the largest AUMs in the region, and a winner of the prestigious Kuwait Asset Manager of the Year Award 2015, announced its support of the KIPCO Tmkeen Award for Young Entrepreneurs, alongside sister companies. The award will be focusing on active young entrepreneurs with established businesses within the media and technology industries.
The KIPCO Tmkeen Award will offer the winner a generous bundle of services valued at US $100,000 from KIPCO Group companies. The award is a collaboration between KIPCO and the Youth Empowerment Organization (Tmkeen). KAMCO, through its Alternative Investments Department, will be contributing strategic and operational consultation sessions as part of the biggest value entrepreneurial prize in Kuwait. Faisal M. Sarkhou, KAMCO’s Chief Executive Officer, said, "The KIPCO Tmkeen Award for Young Entrepreneurs is in line with our corporate social responsibility initiative to empower our youth by assisting in developing and enhancing their businesses.
Encouraging the future generation to pursue their entrepreneurial instincts is associated with our continuous efforts towards supporting education and national youth development.” On his part, Khaled H. These healthy competitions serve as a motivational boost for the future generations, pushing young entrepreneurs to explore, organize and implement their ideas towards creating successful businesses.” In order to be eligible to apply for the KIPCO Tmkeen Award, entrepreneurs must be within the ages of 18-33, and have an existing licensed media or technology business that has been established within the last five years.
The prize bundle will include financial, strategic, and operational sessions, market studies, insurance coverage and advertising services. The first judging round will be held during late October, the official judging round is in early November and the grand prizewinner will be announced on November 9.
