KUWAIT: The International Women's Group (IWG) in cooperation with the Indonesian Embassy in Kuwait organized the Indonesian Cultural Day on Sunday, which was live-streamed to members and guests. The President of the IWG, Ambreen Mustafa, wife of the Pakistan Ambassador, opened the event with a warm welcome and New Year wishes to all participants; noting that the IWG was honored to host the Indonesian Cultural Day in the presence of the Ambassador of Indonesia.
Tri Tharyat, the Ambassador of Indonesia to the State of Kuwait, delivered an enlightening speech covering various aspects of Indonesia's magnificent natural beauty with its stunning landscapes and beaches, its rich culture, and unique artistic heritage. In closing, the Ambassador thanked Mustafa and the IWG for their help and support in the organization of this special event. A celebration cake was cut by the Ambassador and the IWG President, who presented the Ambassador Tri Tharyat with a commemorative shield.
A special film displayed the diverse natural beauty of Indonesia including the hills, mountains, coasts and sandy beaches, showcasing a picturesque backdrop for a colorful, and unique culture. This was followed by a stunning presentation of classical and folk dance and music, beautifully performed by groups from Bali Island.
Mustafa, on behalf of the IWG Board, expressed her thanks to the Indonesian embassy for the organization of this event and the performers were honored with certificates of appreciation for their participation. In closing, Mustafa also noted her gratitude to the IWG Board members for their support and hard work in making the event a resounding success.
