KUWAIT: With two important concerts for cello and piano by young talents from Italy, organized with the Accademia Chigiana di Siena and open free of charge to all interested public, Wednesday, Oct 26 at Salmiya's Abdulhussein Abdulreda Theater (at 19.00) and Thursday, Oct 27 at Yarmouk Cultural Center (at 19.00), the Embassy of Italy closes its 2021-22 musical season, waiting to open the 2022-23 season in November, thanks to the engagement and availability of these two important institutions of the country and of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters.
In November - declared the Ambassador of Italy to Kuwait Carlo Baldocci - Italy will open its new cultural season in Kuwait as the guest of honor country at the 45th edition of the Kuwait International Book Fair (among other things with an offer of interesting lectures dedicated to Italy and the relationship between Italy and Kuwait, from Nov 16 to 26, throughout the duration of the event), with the opening of an exhibition on the History of the Italian Language at the National Library of Kuwait and with a new proposal of courses to learn the Italian language.
An important concert by Bel Canto Italiano, with classic opera arias, always in collaboration with the Accademia Chigiana, will open the new musical season of the Embassy to the public free of charge at Abdulhussein Abdulreda Theater on Nov 17 (at 7.00 pm). Also in November, we will celebrate a week of Italian cuisine in the world, with various initiatives, among other things at the restaurants of some of the main hotels in Kuwait.
Italy and Kuwait - concluded Ambassador Baldocci - last year celebrated 60 years of recognition and the start of diplomatic relations. "We have entered the new phase with great enthusiasm that will allow us to strengthen, expand our bilateral collaboration and launch new initiatives in areas of friendship that cover the political, economic and cultural dimensions of relations: Gov to Gov, Business to Business, People to People are the three modalities on which we will work with constant enthusiasm and which will bring our two countries even closer," Baldocci said.
