KUWAIT: The head of the International Islamic Charity Organization Abdullah Al-Matouq called for the importance of exerting efforts to take vital steps to serve issues concerning the Islamic nation and protecting its rights and interests. This came during a press conference on Sunday after he led the 68th meeting of the organization to boost efforts and reduce suffering.
"Our role is important in the organization as it holds the largest number of organizations and this meeting is important to merge amidst humanitarian concerns and hard economic circumstances," Al-Matouq said.
Secretary General Abdullah Al-Mesleh said reports concerning many committees will be discussed, as all of them coordinate and cooperate to achieve future projects for sustainable support. Manager of the organization Bader Al-Sumait said that the meeting, which is hosted by Kuwait, aims to review managerial and financial reports as well as elect a new secretary general and a new management. The 68th meeting of the organization was postponed due to the COVID pandemic.
