KUWAIT: The International Banking Conference due on September 23, 2019 is chiefly intended to yield a comprehensive view of the industry's future and enrich dialogue with progressive and profound ideas, said Kuwait's top banker. The Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) is keen on securing the participation of experts in different aspects and fields of banking and finance, CBK Governor Dr Mohammad Al-Hashel said in a statement yesterday.

The event, whichwill be held under the aegis of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-AhmadAl-Jaber Al-Sabah, will bring together decision-makers and thought leaders fromacross the global financial services sector, he elaborated. Banking industryleaders are among the many top-level executives and officials confirmed asspeakers for the gathering, Hashel boasted.

He listedparticipating regulators as Arab Saudi Monetary Authority (SAMA) Governor AhmadAl-Kholifey, UAE Central Bank's Governor Mubarak Al Mansoori, Governor of theCentral Bank of Bahrain Rasheed Al-Maraj, Governor of State Bank of PakistanReza Baqir and Bank Negara Malaysia (Malaysia's central bank) Governor DatukNor Shamsiah. Commending the level of speakers taking part in the conference,the CBK chief said that the discussions would produce a comprehensive view ofthe industry's future. - KUNA
