Interior warns citizens, expats on ‘restricted areas’

AL-QASEEM CITY: Kuwait Special Olympics is participating in the advanced training course to prepare senior athletics coaches, hosted by Saudi Arabia’s Special Olympics in Al-Qaseem city, as Kuwait is represented by coach Salma Al-Obaid along with 20 coaches representing 14 countries.

This course is part of the efforts of the Special Olympics MENA region to bring back all activities of the Special Olympics in all fields to compensate for the lost time and activities during the Corona pandemic through the implementation of an integrated training plan and organizing several training courses for senior coaches to become a nucleus to prepare new coaches, and the start was with athletics for being the most common sport in the Special Olympics.

Chairwoman of Kuwait Special Olympics Hanaa Al-Zawawi lauded the efforts of the Regional Head of Special Olympics Engineer Ayman Abdelwahab and Director General of Sports and Training Dr Shareef Al-Fouli to support the abilities of technical cadres at the Special Olympics to keep up with the latest training field. She also thanked the National Director of Saudi Arabian Special Olympics Abdulrahman Al-Quraishi. Coach Salma Al-Obaid was pleased with her participation in the course which is important in her professional march. She lauded the efforts of Kuwait Special Olympics to support the technical and administrative departments to perform their duties at their best.
