KUWAIT: Due to the extraordinary circumstances the country is going through, and the precautionary and preventive measures being implemented by the security establishment to confront the spread of the novel coronavirus, Assistant Undersecretary for Residency Affairs Maj Gen Talal Ibrahim Maarafi calls upon citizens, expats, company owners and establishments to benefit from the electronic services through the interior ministry's website: www.moi.gov.kw.
He said residencies of domestic help (article 20) and private sector workers (article 18) can be renewed online. He said using e-services speeds up processing and saves time and effort, in addition to preventing mixing with people in order to ensure their health and safety. He confirmed that the services are free of charge.
Trio arrested
In an explanatory statement regarding a video on social media showing three persons carrying cleaning material and leftovers in Jaber Al-Ahmad, the interior ministry said security patrols arrested the three Arabs. They said they work in the area and the material they had was collected from garbage containers for resale. The materials were sent to the forensics lab for analysis as legal procedures are being taken against them.
