KUWAIT: The criminal security sector at the Interior Ministry lauded the support of Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah and follow-up by Ministry Undersecretary Lt Gen Essam Al-Naham of drug fighting programs, which achieved good results in foiling attempts to get drugs through Kuwait's borders, according to statistics issued by the sector about drugs cases last year.

The sector said that all security systems are exerting efforts to improve work on programs to fight drugs and psychoactive drugs. It said joint relation with international organizations to improve current elements to implement the law. Statistics of the criminal security department for 2018: Hashish: 1.264.332 tons; shabu (methamphetamine): 61.149 kg; opium: 1.979 kg; heroin: 27.449 kg; marijuana: 35 seedlings (69.766 kg); cocaine: 1.249 kg; qat: 41.040 kg; chemical (synthetic marijuana): 24.618 kg; psychoactive drugs: 26.2.20.489 million tablets; liquor: 49,074 bottles.

Camp robbed
Detectives arrested a citizen who stole a complete camp and erected it somewhere else. A citizen told police that his camp was removed completely, so detectives were asked to work on the case. They then found a camp pitched nearby, and after the complainant told them about the camp's description, they entered the camp and the victim found all his belongings. The man who was found inside told them the camp belongs to a friend who had gone to bring some goods. When he returned, police arrested him and he confessed to stealing the camp.

Thieves caught
Four citizens who formed a gang to steal and stored the loot in a Rahaya farm were arrested by detectives, who found three stolen cars, drugs, drugs paraphernalia and power generators.
