Information Minister Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi

KUWAIT: Minister of Information, Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi headed yesterday the first meeting of the supreme digitization committee at the ministry headquarters. Official spokesperson of the Ministry of Information Anwar Murad said in a statement after the meeting that the conferees discussed plans and measures for electronic transformation in coordination with the Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT).

Murad said the minister, during the meeting, stressed on the necessity to work out an executive timetable to achieve the aspired transformation. She has re-affirmed the keenness on applying smart technology, particularly at the ministry, to minimize red tape.

The meeting was attended by the Acting Information Undersecretary, Faisal Al-Mutalaqem, Secretary General of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters Kamel Abduljelil and the Acting Director General of the Youth Authority for Sports Sheikh Humoud Mubarak Al-Sabah.
