KUWAIT: Investigations into a fire reported recently in Mirqab was an arson, Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) announced yesterday. A fire was reported last week in a building that was evacuated due to suspicions of cases infected with the novel coronavirus being there. The fire was put out by Madina and Hilali fire stations' men, KFSD said.

Separately, Airport customs officers foiled an attempt to smuggle nearly two kilograms of drugs hidden inside a shipment that came through air cargo. An inspector suspected a parcel arriving from China. Drugs Control General Department was contacted to continue investigations and identify the person who imported the parcel.
