Indonesian leader moves to stop 'growth of radicalism'

KUWAIT: Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Defense and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah on Monday met President of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) Dr Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi. In the meeting, both officials discussed ways to deepen cooperation and coordination between Kuwait and the organization in the field of security and information exchange.

The ministry of interior stated in a press release that Minister Fahad Yusuf received Dr Al-Raisi on Monday, where they discussed several common issues. Sheikh Fahad emphasized Kuwait’s role in cooperation with international organizations and its support for achieving security, peace and human rights at the global level. The talks also addressed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between Kuwait and Interpol in the field of security and information exchange, the statement added.

Dr Raisi expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality, affirming the importance of Kuwait’s role in supporting the organization and commending the efforts of the ministry of interior in international cooperation and combating organized crime. — KUNA
