KUWAIT: Jahra police arrested an imposter using a police flasher in the parking lot of a Jahra mall and impersonating a weapons detective. But police found that the car was a private one and its insurance had expired. The suspect attempted to stab one of the policemen during the arrest. A police patrol noticed the car with a blue flashing light in the parking lot, and when they approached the driver, he told them "I am your colleague from the weapons detectives," but documents proved otherwise.

Girl injured

A girl was rushed to hospital after falling from the sixth floor on top of a car in a Hawally building. The incident took place Saturday evening. A security source said paramedics took the girl to Mubarak Hospital, and detectives are investigating the reason behind the fall.

Teens arrested

Ahmadi police arrested three juveniles who broke into the car of a citizen and stole a purse that contained personal items and various ATM cards and civil IDs. The three were near a Fahaheel mall, with one of them carrying a women's purse, but when they saw the police, they attempted to escape, but were caught and sent to concerned authorities.

Fugitive caught

Salmiya police arrested a citizen wanted for financial cases amounting to KD 57,000. Police stopped the citizen at a checkpoint and found him wanted. He was sent to the civil implementation department.

Fatal accident

A three-way vehicle collision resulted in the death of an Indian man and injuries to a female citizen and a Saudi national. The deceased's body was recovered by the coroner, while the other two were taken to hospital. The accident took place in Bayan. Investigations in the accident are ongoing.

Duo held for theft

Taima police identified two young men who stole the metal mesh of an oil company and sold it as steel scrap. The two are bedoon brothers wanted over three other theft cases. A security source said the stations officer of the oil company filed a theft complaint after discovering the wire fence of a Salmy road station was missing. Jahra detectives took over and their investigations led them to two persons who frequented a scrap yard where they sold their loot. They were arrested when they attempted to sell the fence.

A citizen accused two of his friends of detaining him in a Salmiya apartment and forcing him to sign a promissory note. The citizen went to Salmiya police and told them he received a call from two friends with whom he had financial disputes who asked him to meet them to solve the problem.
