KUWAIT: The 'Holistic view to the Future II' conference kicked off yesterday under the patronage of the Health Minister Dr Ali S Al-Obaidi who was represented by Secretary General of Kuwait Institute for Medical specialties (KIMS) Dr Ibrahim Hadi. Dr Hadi welcomed the guests and wished them a good stay in Kuwait, and thanked them for sharing their research and experience.
He said that the Health Ministry places Pediatrics medicine on top of its priorities, within the national health strategy that aim to improve the level of health services - affirming the principle of caring for the health of the children, which means safeguarding the health of the nation in the future. "MoH's hospitals do not spare any effort in holding conferences and training courses, workshops and practical studies which are aimed to enhancing the medical sector," he said.
Dr Hadi thanked the Pediatrics Department at Sabah Hospital for organizing the conference and its committee for their distinguished efforts. The department has achieved a lot since its establishment in 1963 and contributed to the creation of many specialized units. The conference will last for three days with lectures covering several topics concerning the health of children by several professors in the field. Also an exhibition was held by several medical companies - displaying the latest in children's medicines and treatment, including Sebamed and its unique and outstanding products.
