KUWAIT: As part of its ongoing initiatives to empower local youth, and to consolidate its role as the preferred employer in the Kuwaiti financial sector, Gulf Bank wrapped up its Diamond sponsorship of the Gulf University of Science and Technology (GUST) annual Career Fair, which took place March 13-14. During the career fair, Gulf Bank representatives shed light on the nature of the workplace at the Bank, providing detailed overviews of career prospects and job opportunities available for recent graduates. Representatives also conducted on-the-spot interviews with interested applicants.

The Bank's pavilion attracted a large number of male and female students who were eager to learn about Gulf Bank's various departments, work environment, and driven by a reputation of excellence that Gulf Bank has proudly maintained over the years as one of the most prominent employers of young talent in Kuwait. As part of its continuous support to sustainability, Gulf Bank offered human & environmentally conscious experience to students in the pavilion, by using a robotic automated job application process, in the pavilion that was made of recycled materials. At the end of the event, students and GUST employees planted 500 trees, in addition to receiving greenery giveaways with plantable seeded tags from Gulf Bank.

The career fair included an awareness seminar on "cyber security" and data science to help and enable students to obtain jobs in the field of technology and data science. Gulf Bank's General Manager of Human Resources, Salma Al-Hajjaj, noted: "Gulf Bank's participation in this year's GUST Career Fair comes as part of our continuous efforts to support young Kuwaiti talent and our continuous efforts to enhance their skills and competencies."

Al-Hajjaj pointed out that the Bank's latest sponsorship of the GUST Career Fair falls in line with the Bank's ongoing efforts to consolidate its position as the Kuwaiti Bank of the Future, and falls within the Bank's strategy for the year 2025. Gulf Bank is keen to attract young talents across various fields, as local youth are the generation that is capable of keeping pace with the latest innovations and the rapid digital development in the banking sector both locally and globally.

Al-Hajjaj affirmed the Bank's keenness to support the national "New Kuwait 2035" vision, which targets employment in the private sector and the development of Kuwaiti youth, as well as encourages the growth and development of local talent, a goal that is reflected in the increasing rates of national employment at Gulf Bank in recent years.
