KUWAIT: FourKuwaitis were killed and six injured after a pick-up truck they were in rammedinto a lamppost at Al-Zour Road yesterday. Three of the injured are in criticalcondition. An investigation was opened to reveal the cause of the accident.

An Egyptian man'sbody was found under the rubble after firefighters battled a blaze reported ina cement company in Abdali, where the victim worked. An investigation wasopened. Separately, a fire in a Qurain building's basement caused a woman tosuffer minor suffocation. The building was evacuated and the fire was put outby Qurain and Mubarak Al-Kabeer fire stations.

Counterfeitt-shirts

Counterfeit t-shirts confiscated by customs officers.

Customs officersfoiled an attempt to smuggle counterfeit brand-named t-shirts. The goods werefound aboard a wooden boat arriving from a neighboring country. Samples fromthe 1,085 t-shirts were sent to concerned authorities, who confirmed they werenot genuine.
