KUWAIT: Chairman of a joint committee for parliamentary elections Ahmad Al-Manfouhi said yesterday five teams have been formed to monitor and remove violations committed by candidates.

Al-Manfouhi, also Director General of Kuwait Municipality, said the five teams would be distributed over Kuwait's five constituencies to remove illegal campaigning advertisements placed by candidates.

He said in a statement candidates would be fined between KD 1,000-3,000. Manfouhi said the teams would also make sure all sanitizing materials were available at polling stations during the December 5 elections. - KUNA
