KUWAIT: Minister of Finance Dr Nayef Al-Hajraf yesterday inaugurated Nuwaiseeb customs port as the first of its kind in 2019, said Customs General Department's Director General Jamal Al-Jalawi. Customs excelled in development and improved on the movement of goods in and outside Kuwait, he said during a launching ceremony. He said his agency is eager to put in place a strategy aiming at overhauling the customs system by means of revamping the business environment and streamlining customs procedures. The total cost of the project amounted to about KD 2.3 million (approximately $ 10 million), said Vice Chairman and CEO of Agility Tarek Sultan. - KUNA
