KUWAIT: The Surgical Oncology Department at Kuwait Cancer Control Center (KCCC) will organize a practical scientific workshop for oncoplastics and breast reconstruction, headed by Dr. Majida Abdulsamad Al-Saleh, who is an oncology surgery consultant and head of the breast surgery and reconstruction unit at KCCC. The workshop will start on Sunday and will continue for five days.
Assistant Professor of Breast Oncology from Brazil, Dr. Fabricio Palermo Brenelli, and oncoplastic surgical oncologist Peter A Barry at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London will give lectures during the workshop. The workshop will present 34 cases of partial or total removal of the breast and then carry out the constructive surgeries according to each case. It will create an opportunity to have such delicate procedures performed by world experts in Kuwait, saving them the trouble of traveling abroad.
