A fireman takes a break while battling a blaze in Mahboula

KUWAIT: Twovehicles in Mahboula were set ablaze Friday evening, as Mangaf and Fahaheelfire stations responded. The vehicles were found under a shade, also used as astore for metal equipment and paperwork, which helped cause the flames tospread to nearby trees. The fire was put out promptly.


Meanwhile, a fire in an Amghara store was put out by occupational and Tahreerfire stations, and was kept from spreading to nearby places. No injuries werereported in either incident. Investigations were opened to reveal the causes ofthe two fires.

Policeman injured


In other news, a citizen stabbed a policeman during an argument that ensuedafter he pulled him over for a traffic violation. Backup was called in and thecitizen was taken to concerned authorities, while the policeman was taken tohospital.


Separately, Abdullah Al-Mubarak detectives arrested four Egyptian nationals,two of whom work for Abdullah Al-Mubarak Co-operative Society, on accusationsof stealing goods from the store. A society member had doubts about vehiclesthat do not belong to the society and were parked outside, so he tolddetectives and the four were arrested.
