A fireman takes a break while battling a blaze in Mahboula

KUWAIT: Two
vehicles in Mahboula were set ablaze Friday evening, as Mangaf and Fahaheel
fire stations responded. The vehicles were found under a shade, also used as a
store for metal equipment and paperwork, which helped cause the flames to
spread to nearby trees. The fire was put out promptly.

Meanwhile, a fire in an Amghara store was put out by occupational and Tahreer
fire stations, and was kept from spreading to nearby places. No injuries were
reported in either incident. Investigations were opened to reveal the causes of
the two fires.

Policeman injured

In other news, a citizen stabbed a policeman during an argument that ensued
after he pulled him over for a traffic violation. Backup was called in and the
citizen was taken to concerned authorities, while the policeman was taken to
hospital.

Separately, Abdullah Al-Mubarak detectives arrested four Egyptian nationals,
two of whom work for Abdullah Al-Mubarak Co-operative Society, on accusations
of stealing goods from the store. A society member had doubts about vehicles
that do not belong to the society and were parked outside, so he told
detectives and the four were arrested.
