KUWAIT: The prevention sector at Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) began an inspection campaign of high-rise buildings to make sure they meet prevention conditions, in the presence of Deputy Director General for Prevention Sector Maj Gen Khalid Abdullah Fahd, who personally supervised the campaign. Major Gen Khaled Abdullah said the choice of buildings that are over 150 m tall was to make sure they are safe and meet fire conditions. "We were keen on starting the campaign by inspecting the third highest building in Kuwait - KIPCO tower - which is 270 meters high and contains all prevention requirements," he said.
