KUWAIT: Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah has stated the Head of the European Union’s Delegation Riyadh Ambassador Adam Kulach has told him that the Kuwaiti bid for Schengen visa waiver "is given due attention.” Al-Jarallah told reporters on the sidelines of the Omani embassy celebrations of the National Day Wednesday evening that his meeting with Kulach Tuesday has also touched upon the strong the Gulf-EU ties. He stressed the continuation of dialogue and communication between the two sides.

The meeting also tackled the strong relations between Kuwait and the European Union. Al-Jarallah emphasized the importance of the EU role in defending the Arab and Islamic causes, particularly the Palestinian one. Meanwhile, Al-Jarallah noted that the joint Kuwaiti-Iraqi higher committee would held its fifth session on December 21 and an experts-level preparatory meeting would be held soon to set the agenda. — KUNA
