KUWAIT: Vice-head of the judicial violation team of the Ministry of Electricity, Ahmad Al-Shammery said that a team has made multiple inspection campaigns in Farwaniya and Asimah to track violations on the electricity network.

"The campaign focused its inspection on agricultural land in cooperation with the Public Authority for Agricultural and Fisheries. The team cut off electricity for violating electricity consumption rules as the owners had changed the status of agricultural lands to storage facilities of various goods, some of which are dangerous," Al-Shammery said.

"During the campaign more than 200 warnings have been issued because of wastage water according to the rules and regulations of the authority. Moreover, during this month, 20 notices of violations in Farwaniya and Asimah governorates have been issued," he added pointing out that the rules and regulations are strictly in place.

Separately, the ministry has announced that the first house in South Abdullah Mubarak has been connected with electricity. The head of the operations department at the Farwaniya governorate, Faisal Mastaki said: "The ministry started connecting the first house in South Abdullah Mubarak in Block 2, which will be followed by the rest of the houses in block 1 and 2 number around 712 houses."

"The ministry will ensure that the buildings are constructed in accordance with the instructions of the minister Dr Amani Bougammaz and other officials in the ministry," he pointed.

Meanwhile, the Hawally Municipality's emergency team has carried out an inspection campaign around stores in Salmiya and Hawally to ensure that owners adhere to regulations stipulated by the Kuwait Municipality. The inspection resulted in detection of 11 violations ranging from unlicensed advertisement and using complex hallway without license. The team also issued warning to store owners for infringement of public property.

"Field inspections by the supervision team will continue to inspect on commercial stores and real estates in the governorate to track all violators of store regulations and construction rules which will lead to legal procedures," said the head of the emergency team at the Hawally Municipality, Ibrahim Al-Sabaan. He called on store owners to strictly follow rules and regulations of the municipality to avoid penalties and fines and may even lead to administrative suspension.

Separately, the inspection team of the municipality services in Mubarak Al-Kabeer governorate has concluded an inspection campaign in Abu Al-Hasaniya. A total of seven notices for violations were issued.

The head of the audit and follow-up department Talal Al-Uqab called on store owners to comply with the rules and regulations of the Municipality in order to avoid violations and penalty fees.
