KUWAIT: Municipal Council member Humoud Oqlah Al-Enezi said that the Jahra municipality committee had discussed the Jahra waste collection point, and environmental concerns arising from the fact that this point is very close to residential areas. Enezi added that the environment law had given a five-year grace period to shut down all landfill sites and use alternative environment-friendly methods.

In other news, Farwaniya municipality teams recently inspected around 90 stores in various areas within the governorate, said the Farwaniya municipality follow up manager Nasser Marzouq Al-Rasheedi, noting that inspectors filed 35 citations during the tour.
