KUWAIT: Members of the Diplomatic Women's Committee (DWC) expressed their solidarity with the annual global campaign run by the World Health Organization in spreading awareness about breast cancer, by participating in the opening of the Arjan Riaya Specialized Hospital. The event saw the participation of several diplomatic attendees such as the Ambassador of Kenya as well as the spouses of other ambassadors, diplomats and representatives of several committees.
A cultural health program was held to outline the importance of services and health programs for the elderly, those with special needs and psychological conditions as well as those who suffered from bone and muscle diseases. A team of specialist doctors delivered lectures and presentations on some of the health topics while the Vichy skin care company presented some skin care products and treatments.
At the end of the event, gifts and vouchers were presented to the attendees. The DWC team also presented a commemorative shield to the hospital in appreciation of their efforts for the elderly and those with special needs.
Meanwhile, the spouse of the Ambassador of the People's Republic of Sudan was announced as the new president of the Diplomatic Women's Committee for the year 2022-2023, who said that she considered this nomination an honor with her experience in the diplomatic field and in the ministry of foreign affairs in Sudan and as an ambassador's consort, adding that she hoped to do her best to plan social and cultural activities for the diplomatic community in Kuwait.
