KUWAIT: Health Assurance Hospitals Company (DHAMAN) conducted a visit to the embassy of the Republic of Sudan in Kuwait to discuss a number of mutual interest topics. During the meeting, the Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to Kuwait Abdulmonem Alamin expressed appreciation to Kuwait for its efforts in providing integrated healthcare services to expatriates and all members of the populations. While noting the role of DHAMAN in employing Sudanese health professionals, the Ambassador added that Sudan is looking forward to play a bigger role in the healthcare sector.
Meanwhile, DHAMAN Acting CEO Dr Mohammad Al-Qenai said: This visit is part of our collaboration with various bodies, including embassies, to fully explain the role and objectives of DHAMAN to ensure overall alignment between all stakeholders, especially the beneficiaries from the Company's services.
Qenai noted: "As part of continuing the application of global standards in the healthcare sector, the Company pays great attention to overall alignment, accuracy, and progress in the mobilization phase of shifting beneficiaries from the Ministry of Health (MoH) to DHAMAN."
Throughout the visit, discussion included highlighting DHAMAN as the first public-private partnership (PPP) in Kuwait and the first company in the Gulf to provide its services based on the Healthcare Maintenance Organization (HMO) model through establishing an integrated healthcare system that includes medical insurance programs, as well as building and operating a network of primary healthcare centers and hospitals that cover all areas in Kuwait.
The visit was also attended by the Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy Dr Mohammed Ali, as well as DHAMAN acting Medical Services Director Dr Fatema Bendhafari, HR Corporate Director Ahmad Bourisli and Corporate Director - Communication and PR Ali Al-Hamad.
