KUWAIT: Deputy Chief of Kuwait National Guard Lt Gen Sheikh Ahmad Al-Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah met yesterday with Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Mansour Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah in his office at the National Guard's headquarters. The two sides discussed ways of boosting cooperation to strengthen Kuwait's defense mechanisms. Sheikh Ahmad Al-Mansour also congratulated Sheikh Ahmad Al-Nawaf on earning the political leadership's trust.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Nawaf discussed on Sunday with Oil Minister and Minister of Electricity and Water Dr Khaled Al-Fadhel ways to strengthen the means of joint cooperation. Sheikh Ahmad Al-Nawaf affirmed the National Guard's keenness to enhance cooperation, especially that it is responsible for protecting the central oil region. The Oil Minister congratulated Sheikh Ahmad Al-Nawaf on his new appointed position and obtaining the political leadership's confidence, wishing him more success in serving the country and the citizens. - KUNA
