KUWAIT: Kuwait Municipality announced on Sunday the development of a field plan coinciding with the 63rd National Day and the 33rd anniversary of Liberation Day, through which it will provide mechanisms for general cleaning ahead of the national day celebrations. The municipality added in a press release that the field plan began on Sunday with the cleaning of all places and sites that will hold activities and events on the occasion of national holidays, which will continue throughout the month of February.
The plan includes the removal of any illegal structures on state property without a license or whose owners did not comply with the licensing requirements, indicating that the regulatory authorities in the municipality will intensify their inspection campaigns aimed at monitoring and controlling street vendors. Violation tickets will be issued, and legal action will be taken against those who are caught.
The hygiene management team in Hawally governorate has started a field campaign to ensure the readiness of the coastal strip at the beaches, Marina Mall, and Green Island, in addition to distributing containers in the places that will witness the national celebrations. The campaign resulted in the cleaning of public facilities and the coastline. In addition, 350 cleaners and 22 sweepers have been deployed, along with 19 blowers, 18 trucks, and 205 containers. — KUNA
