
KUWAIT: Interior Ministry’s Relations and Security Information Department said the follow up and coordination directorate of residency detectives has intensified its investigations to arrest all those who interacted with five people infected with AIDS, and who were arrested for involvement in vice practices. Eight new suspects were arrested, and detectives also identified the owner of the company which brought them to Kuwait.
Residency detectives arrested four Egyptians who were infected by the main suspect Mohammad Al-Dabe Mahmoud; who was arrested and found infected with AIDS. He had come to Kuwait on a visit visa from a company, whose owner was identified as Saad Rashid Saad. Dabe said he went to a health club to have sex with some of its workers for money. They said that police raided the club, where four people escaped and four Filipino cross-dressers were arrested.
Fugitive turns himself in
A security source said a citizen went to Adan police station and told them he owed a person KD 1.5 million, adding that he was sentenced to five months in jail for being unable to pay back his debt. The citizen gave himself up voluntarily, telling them “I want to relax.”
Food safety
Kuwait Municipality carried out an inspection campaign against food supply companies in various governorates, which resulted in confiscating 15 buckets of Jordanian pickles and eight buckets of olive oil that did not have any information, besides closing down a restaurant administratively. Six citations were issued for dealing with food material without a health certificate. Separately, Assistant Director General for Jahra and Farwaniya Governorate Affairs at Kuwait Municipality Ahmad Al-Hazeem said the process of removing all obstacles in the way of Mutlaa residential city was underway.
