KUWAIT: The medical service authority at Jaber Al-Ahmad Armed Forces Hospital inaugurated the new Cardiac Catheterization Unit in the presence of the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Pilot Bandar Al-Muzain, and the undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense, Sheikh Dr Abdullah Mishal Al-Sabah.

The Chief of the Army General Staff said in a press release that the team praised (during the opening ceremony) the efforts of Jaber Al-Ahmad hospital employees and those in charge of the Cardiac Catheterization Unit. He urged them to maintain excellence and always strive to upgrade the health care system in the armed forces. He stressed the importance of providing all medical supplies to provide medical care for distinguished members of the armed forces and their families.

For his part, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Sabah said that the inauguration of the new Cardiac Catheterization Unit represents a valuable addition to the medical services provided at the hospital for members of the armed forces and a distinct qualitative shift in the level of health services due to the devices and equipment used.

The head of the Medical Services Authority, Major General Dr. Walid Mallallah, reviewed the most important construction projects that have been completed, including the renovation and development of specialized departments and equipping them with the latest medical devices and future projects of the hospital.

The head of the cardiology and catheterization division, Brigadier General Dr. Abdullah Suleiman, gave a detailed explanation of the latest devices used in the new cardiac catheterization unit, which is one of the most advanced devices in this field.
