KUWAIT: A Kuwaiti couple are held for questioning over accusations of torturing their domestic helper to death, a local daily reported. Police apprehended the 46-year-old man, after he had rushed the domestic helper to Amir Hospital, where she arrived in a critical condition and later succumbed to her injuries inside the ICU.

Doctors found burn marks and cuts on the body of the victim, a 31-year-old female domestic helper from Sri Lanka. They informed police who arrested the suspect and later his wife as well after he denied knowledge about the victim's injuries. Investigations are ongoing in the case.
