Kuwait: The Kuwaiti astronomer Adel Al-Saadoun said on Wednesday that the comet, C/2022 E3, will approach the Earth and is forecast to be seen on February 1.
He told KUNA that people will be able to view it with the naked eye -- the first comet to be seen without equipment since two decades ago.
This comet approaches the Sun once every 50,000.
The comet, discovered by the Zwicky Transient Facility on March 2, 2022, will reach its perihelion on January 12, 2023.
