KUWAIT: The surgery department in Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Hospital, led by the colorectal surgery team, have conduct an awareness day on Sunday. The objective was colon and rectal cancer awareness campaign to raise the knowledge of colon and rectal cancer in Kuwait and raise the awareness of the national screening colonoscopy (camera inside the colon to check and potentially treat problems) program.

It is important to note that colon cancer is the second highest cancer in Kuwait in term of numbers and new cases every year. Yet, colon cancer is one of the more treatable and curable diseases of caught early in time, which is the aim of a screening colonoscopy, in this national campaign.
