KUWAIT: On Wednesday, Kuwait’s municipality approved 20 spring camping sites for the season (2023-2024) distributed over the governorates of Jahra and Ahmadi to include the northern and southern areas of the country that allow camping. The committee for the study and modernization of sites temporarily allocated for spring camping said in a press release to the municipality that this year’s spring season will begin on November 15 until March 15, 2024.
The committee stated that the Public Relations Department of the municipality will launch its awareness campaign under the slogan ‘With our hands, the land is clean’ on the occasion of the beginning of the spring camping season, with the aim of preserving the land and using environmentally friendly means in the permitted camping sites of the municipality to maintain cleanliness during the camping season.
The committee added that the insurance amount for the camp is subject to recovery with the approval of the Environment General Authority and the issuance of a cleanliness certificate for the site from the municipality to deposit it in the accounts of licensed camp owners at the end of the camping season. This year’s spring camp sites will be provided with service centers, security points, and branches of cooperative societies, in addition to providing containers and cleaning mechanisms to serve the camp owners.
Those wishing to set up camps in permitted locations are urged to follow the booking steps, obtain a license to set up a temporary spring camp, and fill out a camp license application via the official website of the municipality. Filling out a camp license application is done through 4 steps, including entering the location event of the camp, then personal data, paying fees of KD50 and insurance KD100 through KNET, printing the camp license, and placing it in a prominent place in the camp.– KUNA
