KUWAIT: The Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK), Dr Mohammad Y Al-Hashel, received the European Commissioner for Budget and Administration, Johannes Hahn and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of senior officials from the Ministry of Finance and the Kuwait Investment Authority. The attendees discussed the most prominent global economic developments and post-COVID-19 prospects for the global economy, amongst other topics of mutual interest.

In a statement, Dr Al-Hashel noted that the meeting discussed the global economic outlook and the robust economic recovery after the pandemic, which had unprecedented economic impacts on all countries, as well as other issues relating to finance and banking. The governor concluded by stressing the importance of exchanging views with policymakers in the major economies to enhance cooperation between the State of Kuwait and the friendly countries in the economic and financial fields.
