KUWAIT: A car chase between two citizens and two police vehicles in Faiha area left two patrol vehicles damaged, while a lieutenant was nearly run over during the incident. The chase ended with the arrest of two citizens, one of whom is wanted to serve 12 years jail sentence. Liquor and paraphernalia were found in the vehicle the two men were driving. Capital security stopped the vehicle at a checkpoint near the intersection of Faiha and Dhahiyat Abdullah Al-Salem areas. When a lieutenant asked the driver for his ID, the man drove off, nearly running over the officer. Two other officers chased the vehicle in Faiha area, when the suspects' car hit the patrol vehicle and flipped on the side, then hit another patrol trying to escape, but the men were finally caught and arrested. The passenger was found intoxicated. License plates were found in the car that may be used in criminal activity.
Fires in Hiteen, Al-Qusoor
A fire broke out in a Hiteen area house, prompting Mishref, Subhan and technical rescue centers to respond. The house was evacuated and inhabitants who suffered from smoke inhalation were treated by paramedics. In an unrelated incident, a fire broke out in an Al-Qusoor area tent erected outside a house and spread to a nearby parked car. A citizen who suffered burns was taken to hospital for treatment.
