KUWAIT: Burgan Bank is proud to be the title sponsor of Tariq Al Qallaf, Kuwait’s world champion wheelchair fencer, for the third time in a row on his journey to the prestigious USA Fencing Championship. The championship will take place in Michigan during October, 2016.

The bank’s sponsorship reflects its commitment and active dedication towards its young Kuwaiti talents as well as its belief that Al Qallaf’s talent has defied all odds and has led him to win top accolades at international championships. With just over six months to go until the big event, training for Al Qallaf will soon commence with regular boot camps in Athens, Greece and Kuwait City, Kuwait during the months of March and April 2016 and following that in Pennsylvania, USA during September 2016 to gear up for the championship in October.

It is worthy to note that Al Qallaf participated in more than 70 international tournaments during his tremendous 30 years long career, bagging more than 40 gold medals and a sword of honor for being the best player in the world through his participation in international championships along with receiving 26 gold medals during his participation in international championships in the United States.
