KUWAIT: National Bank of Kuwait announced that one of its employees in Mishref branch tested positive for novel coronavirus (COVID-19). After contacting the Ministry of Health, the bank has taken all necessary measures, NBK said, adding that the employee is currently under close observation and is in stable condition. NBK has immediately taken all preventive measures to isolate the employees who have been in direct contact with him, and closed the branch to sterilize it entirely, it noted.
Co-op volunteer infected
KUWAIT: Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Co-op Society announced that one of the volunteers at tested positive for coronavirus. The co-op will be closed and the delivery service will be suspended temporarily, it added. Meanwhile, Kuwait TV denied claims on social media that one of its employees tested positive for coronavirus. The Ministry of Information affirmed that its employees are in good health.

KUWAIT: The Kuwaiti Union of Farmers distributed Friday boxes of vegetables to citizens in the isolated area in Mahboula. The distribution was done in cooperation with Kuwait military forces, who accompanied the trucks from Al-Wafra farms to citizens' houses.

KUWAIT: An individual who breached curfew hours has deliberately run over a Kuwait National Guard member, causing him injury, at a vehicle checkpoint in Jahra Governorate. Responding to reports on the incident, the Kuwait National Guard, in a statement on Friday, said that legal action will be taken against the individual. The Kuwait National Guard member was injured in the hand. Separately, General Traffic Department police arrested two drivers who drove recklessly during the curfew hours.

KUWAIT: An official source at the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry on Friday strongly condemned an attack on an armored vehicle in North Sinai in Egypt, which left a number of soldiers killed or injured.
